At 7:30 the breakfast cook steps onto the porch to ring the bell, welcoming guests to a hearty meal and the start of a new day in Denali. The morning meal includes hot and cold cereals and a featured entree such as a vegetable quiche or sourdough hotcakes. For those who want to sleep in and are not planning to participate in a naturalist-guided outing, a continental breakfast is available between 9:30 and 10:30. Lunch is your own creation. Pack it each morning after breakfast from a buffet of homemade bread, sandwich fillings, fresh vegetables and fruit, trail mix, and freshly baked cookies.
