Hawk's Nest is located 88 miles into the park, approximately 1.5 miles from Camp Denali. Included with your reservation for Hawk's Nest is our authorization letter to drive your private vehicle over the restricted park road. Present the authorization letter at the park entrance to receive a road pass from the National Park Service. You will be driving a single lane, mountainous gravel road amidst breathtaking scenery. Allow at least 5 hours for the journey. Your road pass is only valid for access to Hawk's Nest, and to and from Camp Denali where you will check in and where you may take showers. You must use the Visitor Transportation System for access along the park road during your stay. For ticket and schedule information call 800.622.7275.
