Camp Denali is a wilderness lodge located at Mile 89 of the Denali Park Road, offering an immersive Alaskan experience in the heart of Denali National Park. As the only lodge in the park with direct views of Denali and the Alaska Range, we provide unparalleled access to Alaska's iconic landscapes, wildlife, and wilderness.
Our all-inclusive, multi-night stays are designed for travelers seeking more than a brief introduction to the park. Each stay includes naturalist-guided transportation, comfortable accommodations, chef-prepared meals, guided hikes, educational evening programs, and access to our outdoor gear tailored to Denali.

Which Stay is Best for Your Itinerary?
Due to our remote location, we operate on a fixed schedule of arrivals and departures. Stays begin on either a Monday or a Friday. Our multi-night stays maximize opportunities for mountain views, wildlife sightings, and a variety of weather conditions. We provide an in-depth Denali experience, and a longer stay builds camaraderie among guests and staff.

Adventure & Education
Camp Denali has specialized in learning adventures and hiking vacations for active travelers since 1952. From the introduction to the park via our custom BlueBird buses to the guided outings and evening programs, our goal is to help you learn and care about Denali, its sub-arctic ecology, geology, history, Indigenous stewardship, and changing landscape.

Each day, we offer guided group hikes organized by activity level, allowing guests to choose the outing that best matches their interests and abilities. Led by knowledgeable naturalist guides, every hike is enriched by insights into Denali's landscapes, wildlife, ecology, and history.
Outings range from easy walks to challenging backcountry adventures. We may scale local 2,000-foot ridges, wander across the tundra, or explore ponds and wetlands in search of birdlife. Along the way, guests gain a deeper understanding of Denali's natural and cultural history through both science and storytelling.

While guided activities are at the heart of the Camp Denali experience, we also encourage guests to pursue their own adventures. Trail and topographic maps, canoes, bicycles, and fishing gear are available to borrow, making it easy to explore at your own pace.
Indoors, our resource center offers exhibits, collections, a natural history library, and a microscope for those eager to continue learning. Guests can also visit our greenhouse to discover the unique challenges and opportunities of growing food in Alaska's short summer season.

Evenings at Camp Denali offer opportunities for continued learning and discovery. Throughout the summer, we welcome scientists, artists, historians, and other specialists who share their expertise with guests and staff through field experiences and evening presentations.

Despite our remote setting, we maintain a deep commitment to exceptional food. Throughout the summer, our greenhouse provides fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, and edible flowers that find their way onto guests' plates.
Each day, our bakery turns out fresh breads, cookies, pastries, and desserts, while berries gathered from the tundra are preserved and served as house-made jams and syrups. Thoughtfully prepared meals, fresh ingredients, and a connection to the surrounding landscape make dining an integral part of the Camp Denali experience.

“Never ever did I think I would be happy in a rustic place using an outhouse. Well, I was wrong. Rustic at Camp Denali is unlike rustic anywhere else. The outhouses are nothing like I've ever seen or imagined-they're beautiful! The cabin was so well appointed it was hard to leave it. Camp Denali is located in one of the most spectacular places on earth. The views from every cabin are surreal. In addition, the food, the personal care, and the amazing staff made our stay a never to be forgotten experience. We also met people from all over the world, who were interesting and fun. The led hikes through the tundra were so unexpected. Its beauty is indescribable. I was surprised and delighted every moment of the day. There was no need unmet at Camp Denali. “Truly a Life-Changing Experience. It’s hard to know where to start… This trip is was my first time to Alaska and made me want to go back without a doubt. The people there were incredible, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. As well as that, the food was out of this world! To imagine the amount of food they have to take into the camp, and also to come up with such a creative, healthy, mostly local menu is amazing, to say the least. I felt that through the hikes, outdoor activities, and talks about nature and Alaskan culture, I really connected more to the beautiful nature and many cultures of this incredible state. The connections with both people and the planet made through this journey are hard to completely explain in words.
